Villa Dei Vescovi
A country retreat from the turn of the 16th century and inspired by antiquity dominates the landscape of the Euganei Hills. Built as a summer residence for the Bishops of Padova, it is the sublime work of famous architects, including Giulio Romano, and is decorated with paintings by the Flemish Master Lambert Sustris. The villa is an exquisite experiment of the Humanist movement in which architecture and nature blend seamlessly, creating spaces such as the loggia and terraces, aimed at achieving well-being for the people living there.
