Castello del Catajo

The Catajo Castle, considered "the strangest of the Venetian villas", is not simply a castle. Over the centuries it has been a Country villa, a ducal palace and an imperial residence, home to sumptuous and memorable parties.

It was built in 1570 by the Obizzi family, who had Gian Battista Zelotti created one of the most important pictorial cycles of the Venetian Renaissance, still perfectly preserved today in the halls of the main floor. In the 19th century, the castle became the summer home of the Austrian emperors.

The entire structure is now available for rent to organize meetings, receptions and gala dinners. The frescoed halls of the main floor, all communicating with each other, are a prestigious setting for a meeting and a gala dinner; the large panoramic terrace, with breathtaking views of the Euganean Hills, is perfect for an aperitif or a coffee break, while the monumental gardens are the ideal setting for a welcome drink. The monumental location, rich in history and art, will make your event unforgettable.

The spaces available for rent are the six frescoed halls on the main floor, where the main hall can accommodate up to 120 people. For a private reception, the maximum number of guests allowed in the entire floor is 150. Alternatively, the main hall can be set up in an auditorium layout for conferences, and accommodate up to approximately 100 people, while the side halls can be used for coffee/lunch breaks, for the accreditation desk, for a cloakroom area or for other needs.

The Castle also has fascinating outdoor spaces, including the large panoramic terrace adjacent to the frescoed halls.

The rental also includes the use of a private parking (located inside the property) and the presence of two people from the staff, who will provide support and surveillance from the arrival of the guests until the end of the event.
